About me
Levels & subjects taught: Lower level: Maths, Biology GCSE: Maths, Biology A-Level: Biology Exam Board experience: I am personally familiar with Edexcel maths at GCSE and A-level, Eduqas biology at GCSE, and AQA biology at A-level. I am also comfortable with OCR A-level Biology, and I can familiarise myself with any other curriculums as needed. Languages: Native English Speaker SEND (Special Education Needs and Disability) experience: I have experience working with students with ADHD. I also have ADHD myself, and so I have personal experience adapting my work style to suit it, allowing me to achieve high grades. I am better able to relate to students with ADHD, as I have first-hand experience with the same struggles they face. Additionally, I can share various strategies and tools that I have used and found helpful. Preferred student age group: I’m happy to take on students aged 8-18 About me: I’m currently a student in my second year at the University of Lancaster, where I am studying Biology. When I graduate, I will be doing a PGCE course as I hope to become a teacher full-time. This is following in the footsteps of my mother and aunt, who are both teachers. Seeing how they helped children growing up made me want to join the profession myself. This meant I got involved in tutoring in college which further cemented my interest. Outside of my education, I’m really passionate about music and I love going to concerts, I went to my first one when I was only 12 years old!
