I was educated throughout primary and secondary school and college in Hull, East Yorkshire. I always absolutely loved school, and especially loved reading. It is a love that continued into my studies of English at A- Level, in my spare time and also transferred skills into my Art History degree- just instead of reading books, I was now reading paintings! I also have some achievements within creative writing- being shortlisted for the Hull Truck Theater young playwright prize and having my work performed in the theater, as well as having a poem published in an anthology named For the First Time in primary school. My biggest achievement is recently receiving a First Class degree from MMU. This came primarily down to my written and theoretical elements: essay writing skills, analysis skills, and research- all of which I look forward to teaching and developing within younger students. Experiencing another country's education system was also incredibly beneficial in widening my understanding of subjects and looking at them from an entirely different perspective, using different methods.
About me
Hi! I'm Eleanor, I'm 24 years old and I'm a recent graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, where I studied a BA (Hons) Degree in Fine Art and Art History with an overseas study year in Canada. I am the first in my close family to have attended university and they are all very proud of this achievement and how far I have been able to travel from our small northern town. Travel is my main passion in life- I have lived and worked in Spain, travelled solo, visited many countries on holidays as well as my year abroad living in Canada. These experiences have enriched my life and taught me many important lessons you don't get at school. I hope I am able to channel this in my tutoring! I also love reading, film, and experimenting with cooking in my spare time. Lower Level: The subjects I can teach at lower level are: Maths, English Literature, English Language, Science, Art, Geography, History, R.E, I.C.T and P.S.H.E. GCSE: The subjects I can teach at GCSE level are: English Literature, English Language, Geography, Religious Studies and Art. I achieved A*-B in these subjects. A- Level: The subjects I can teach at A-Level are English Literature and Art/ History of Art. Higher Level: I can teach History of Art up to BA Degree level. Exam Boards: I have experience with the main exam boards I studied throughout high school and college. These were AQA, OCR and Edexcel. I have no preference with level or age group and excitedly welcome the prospect of tutoring all kinds of people! I look forward to meeting you soon and working together to get you the best results you can:)
